Danny Mershon opened Cedar Park Barber & Beauty in 2011. He had 24 years behind the chair by then, taught by his father, who was taught by his. In 2014 he moved the chairs to 2301 S. Lakeline Blvd. and renamed the shop. Same craft, more chairs, a pool table in the corner.
The shop is built on a few rules the family kept. Cut the hair the way the client wears it, not the way the magazine prints it. Greet the children by name on the second visit. Never rush the shave.

Six barbers and stylists on staff. Master barbers and apprentices. Two speak Spanish. Most have been here since the doors opened.
The clients are families from Cedar Park, Leander, Round Rock. Active military, with discounted cuts. Seniors, with discounted cuts. Children, with a keepsake envelope on the first visit.
